G DATA Business Solutions: Creating tenants

This step-by-step guide describes how to create a separate tenant for your customer or branch.

This ist how you create tenants:

1.

Start the G DATA Administrator.

2.

Log on to G DATA Administrator with an authorised Windows user (administrator rights) or a user stored in G DATA User Management on G DATA Administrator.

3.

Select in the object selection ManagementServer.

4.

In the module menu, select Server.

5.

In the module submenu, select Tenant management.

6.

Click on + in the table action bar.

Enter the name of the tenant and a unique identifier (if you click in the input field, an identifier will already be suggested).

The unique identifier is part of the billing basis for MES partners. In order to avoid double calculation of a client, as an MES partner, be sure to enter a meaningful identifier (e.g. the customer number of your client). Do not change the identifier afterwards!

Click + next to the user view.

9.

Optionally, create a new Integrated User in the Add User window. For this, enter the username, password and the selected rights. You can also give an integrated user access to several clients.

Click OK.

11.

If desired, enter any remarks about the client.

12.

Click OK.
