The DebugView tool from Sysinternals

The DebugView tool from Sysinternals can be used to create various debug logs for the G DATA Security Client (Windows).

From where can you get the DebugView tool?

You can get the tool at the following link: https://download.sysinternals.com/files/DebugView.zip.

From whom is the tool and what is its purpose?

DebugView is a tool published by Sysinternals (acquired by Microsoft). It monitors output when debugging on local systems or on the network. The tool can display kernel-mode and Win32 output for debugging.

How to use the tool

When DebugView is executed, it collects the debug output of the modules for which the registry key "DebugLevel" has been set. The DebugView window displays the entire output, which can be saved to a text file. When using DebugView to investigate an error, it is executed until the error can be reproduced. Then the log is saved. The log can be used for further manual analysis or sent to our support staff.

For detailed instructions on how to create debug files, see: Debugging with DebugView
