G DATA Security Awareness Trainings
In diesem Artikel finden Sie grundlegende Informationen zum 3-Level-System in den G DATA Security Awareness Trainings.
What is the 3-Level-System?
The security awareness training courses offered by the G DATA Academy are structured into three progressive levels. Learners start with the basics in Level 1: What exactly does the field of cybersecurity entail?
In Level 2, they build on this with more specialized knowledge: How does cybersecurity affect me in my day-to-day work?
In Level 3 (the final level of the new structure), the focus is on in-depth knowledge of malware, attack vectors, and the best protection.
What are the advantages of the 3-Level-System?
Learners’ knowledge is built up step by step, so they are not overwhelmed by too many training sessions at once. "Progressing" from Basic to Advanced to Master increases learners’ motivation, as it gives them a sense of accomplishment and confirmation that they have completed a level. The additional Awareness Booster ensures lasting depth of understanding and can also serve as a reference tool. "Learning on the job" is the key concept here. Since these are very short units lasting 2 to 5 minutes that learners can choose to complete on their own, there is no pressure on them.
What impact does the switch to the 3-Level-System have?
Once activated, learners will have access to the 3-Level-System dashboard. This is where they complete the training modules within each level.
Note for organizations with existing learning plans! Please note that progress made so far in employees’ existing learning plans will neither be reset nor carried over as a result of the transition. Old learning plans can then be found in the user menu under "My Courses and Learning Plans".
How do I switch to the new 3-Level-System?
These instructions apply only to organizations that were already working with existing learning plans prior to the introduction of the current 3-Level-System.
If you wish to migrate existing learning plans to the 3-Level-System, please note that existing progress will not be carried over to the new learning journey. We therefore recommend that you wait to migrate until all ongoing learning plans have been completed.
The transition takes place in three steps:
-
Contact Support: Let our support team know that you would like to make the switch. You can find the contact information in the admin dashboard (traning-support@gdata.de).
-
Have the switch enabled: Our team will activate the switch option in your LMS.
-
Assign the learning plan: Then assign the Cyber Defense Awareness Journey to learners via user management.
Where can users find courses purchased as add-on packages in the 3-Level-System?
Additional content - such as supplementary training series or workplace instruction - is displayed on the learner’s home screen below the content for the level currently being worked on.
These courses are independent of progress within the 3-Level-System and are not assigned to Levels 1 through 3.
What happens to existing and personalized learning plans after the transition to the 3-Level-System?
Existing learning plans will remain available. Learners can find them in the user menu under "My Courses and Learning Plans" and can continue to access the content there.
However, existing and personalized learning plans are not part of the progress tracking within the 3-Level-System.
