XDR solutions, by contrast, aim to detect attacks that could not be blocked by the protection/prevention (Protection) layer. Modern solutions such as Endpoint Protection or Next-Gen AV often already include certain Detection functions to identify threats in the network based on behavior. However, the key difference is this: Managed XDR uses a significantly expanded threat-detection telemetry capability and allows G DATA Security Analysten interactive access to it (Detect). You can investigate suspicious processes in depth and, if necessary, intervene manually (Respond).
