G DATA 365 | Mail Protection
Users have configured email redirecting in Outlook. These emails do not arrive in the mailbox. What must be considered?
If the G DATA 365 | Mail Protection has been configured so that the MX record points to mailprotection.gdata.de, emails redirected by Outlook cannot be processed correctly. This is because Outlook sends the same email back to the service. Since this email has already been scanned and is known to the service, it is rejected to prevent mail loops.
In this case, change the type of rule in Outlook.
Instead of redirecting the email, create a rule for forwarding in Outlook.
This ensures that Outlook delivers a new email that has not yet been scanned. This email is accepted, scanned again, and forwarded.
