How to set up a two-factor authentication

Once you have been added as a user, you will receive an email at the address you provided.

You can now set up two-factor authentication and create a secure password.

Proceed as follows:

1.

If you do not already have one on your phone, install an authenticator app of your choice.

Examples of free authentication apps include the Google Authenticator app, 2FA Authenticator for iPhone, and the Microsoft Authenticator.

Click the link to update your account in the email.

On the home page, click Click here to continue.

Open your Authenticator app on your phone.

In your Authenticator app, add a new authentication.

In Google Authenticator, this is a colorful + on the home screen.

In your Authenticator app, choose whether you want to scan the QR code (recommended!) or use the secret key, which is usually more cumbersome. These instructions assume that you select Scan QR Code.

7.

Scan the QR code from the G DATA form. G DATA Web Portal: Your email address will be entered, and a 6-digit code will be displayed.

8.

Enter the code from the Authenticator app into the form field on the G DATA page.

9.

Click on check and activate.

10.

In the next step, create a secure password.

A password is designed to protect your data.
