Export settings

You can also use the toggle switches to control whether you want to include the mail server settings, the domain settings and/or the filter and behavior settings.

The export by default creates an unencrypted *.json file in your download directory. If you activate the "Encode result" switch, an encrypted *.enc file is created.

If you have activated the "Encrypt result" toggle, a secure password consisting of letters and numbers is shown on the screen.

Make sure you remember this password! Without this password, the exported file cannot be imported again. For data protection reasons, it is also not stored in the G DATA Web-Portal.

Import settings

You can also use the toggle switches to control whether you want to import the mail server settings, the domain settings and/or the filter and behavior settings.

You can import a *.json file created by an export or an encrypted *.enc file.

If you want to import an *.enc, please enter the password that was displayed when you created the file.

As soon as you click on the Import configuration button, the settings are imported. The existing settings will be overwritten immediately!

Exception:
Enabled domains are imported unless the mail server does not exist and is created by the import. If the mail server already exists when importing, the domain settings are not changed.
