  • How do we ensure the protection of our customers' data?

    As a German company based in Bochum, we are bound by strict German data protection laws. Data is stored exclusively on servers located in Germany. In addition, we develop the XDR technology used to monitor IT systems entirely in-house—also in Germany—and guarantee that it contains no backdoors. To this end, we have committed to upholding the “IT Security Made in Germany” seal of approval.

  • Where is the data stored?

    Data is stored exclusively on cloud servers in Germany: at the company’s headquarters in Bochum, at Glasfaser Ruhr in Bochum and Herne, and at IONOS in Frankfurt and Berlin.

  • How is usage billed?

    Usage is billed monthly based on the actual services used.

  • Can we assign different permissions to users?

    Yes, through role-based access control, users can only view information and perform actions for which they are authorized when interacting with (sub)partners, customers, and at other levels.

  • How does G DATA XDR help us comply with the NIS-2 Directive?

    NIS-2 requires many companies to secure their IT systems in accordance with the latest state of the art. Regulatory authorities cite XDR as an example of how to implement the directive for providers of digital infrastructure and digital services. G DATA XDR offers advanced attack detection and innovative protection technologies in line with the latest state of the art. In this way, we support customers who are classified as critical or important facilities under NIS-2.

  • Is G DATA ISO 27001 certified?

    Yes, our Information Security Management System (ISMS) is certified to ISO 27001:2022.

  • We are already using G DATA Endpoint Security. How do we switch to XDR?

    We provide you with a migration wizard to make the transition as easy and hassle-free as possible. Upon request, our Technical Account Management team will guide you through the entire process.
