How does 365 Mail Protection secure email traffic?
365 Mail Protection is an email security gateway. This means it is positioned in front of your Microsoft Exchange Online mailboxes. It filters out unwanted emails at the earliest possible stage. Unwanted emails include spam as well as all types of fraudulent emails containing dangerous email attachments, viruses, and links to phishing or malware sites.
It is a cloud solution. How is data protection ensured?
As a German company based in Bochum, we are bound by strict German data protection laws. The servers used to scan emails are located exclusively in Germany. They are operated by our partner, the German cloud provider IONOS. High reliability and the protection of customer data against unauthorized access are our top priorities and those of IONOS. Scanned files and content are never stored in the cloud.

What are the system requirements for 365 Mail Protection?
You can use 365 Mail Protection if the email domain you want to protect runs on Microsoft 365 Exchange Online or the standalone Exchange Online solution. You’ll need admin access there.
