Endpoint Security or Endpoint Protection (EPP) provides cost-effective basic protection. The solution protects all endpoints in your organization from cyberattacks, such as PCs, laptops, and servers. Through centralized management, you can monitor the security status of all devices and easily manage security policies.
Endpoint Protection (EPP) offers basic protection technologies and safeguards individual endpoints against cyberattacks. Extended Detection and Response (XDR) goes a step further: the solution correlates events and processes across multiple endpoints. This enables XDR to detect even complex attacks that span multiple devices and would otherwise go unnoticed on a single endpoint. Another difference lies in management: EPP requires a dedicated management server. XDR, on the other hand, can be conveniently managed via a cloud-based web console in your browser—without the need for your own server infrastructure. Click here for a detailed comparison of EPP vs. XDR vs. MDR.
You can find the system requirements in the technical information for G DATA Endpoint Security.
