We’d like to get to know you as well as possible during a one-on-one interview—and we’d like you to get to know us, too. So, above all, just be yourself and don’t hesitate to ask us any questions you may have. Depending on the department, we’ll follow up the interview with a short practical exercise in which you’ll work in pairs with your potential future colleagues to solve real-world problems. An application should always be formally correct and include at least your resume. A cover letter and relevant certificates help us assess your qualifications, but are not required. Step 4: Next Round

You’ll receive prompt feedback from us after the interview. If you or we feel further discussion is needed, we’ll offer you the opportunity to participate in a “trial day” with us to gain further insight into your potential work environment and future team.

G DATA offers the following apprenticeship programs:

• IT Specialist for System Integration (m/f/d)
• IT Specialist for Application Development (m/f/d)
• Office Management Specialist (m/f/d)
• E-Commerce Specialist (m/f/d)

The minimum requirements for the apprenticeship vary depending on the career path. For the Office Management Assistant apprenticeship and the IT Specialist for System Integration apprenticeship, you should have at least a good Realschulabschluss.

Apprenticeships as an e-commerce specialist and as an IT specialist for application development require a high school diploma with good grades or a good university-level entrance qualification. You should also have good grades in the core subjects of math, German, and English..

The aprenticeship begins annually on August 1.

The duration of the apprenticeship is generally 3 years for all apprenticeship programs. If a trainee performs very well, the apprenticeship may be shortened.

Our apprentices typically attend vocational school classes once or twice a week. For technical apprenticeships, classes are held at Technical Vocational School 1 (TBS1) in Bochum; for business apprenticeships, they are held at the Louis-Baare Vocational College in Bochum-Wattenscheid.

During your time with us, you’ll rotate through various departments, giving you the opportunity to get to know different areas of G DATA’s work environment. You’ll typically spend two to six months in each department, allowing you to actively contribute and take on independent tasks.

In the first year of your aprenticeship, you will receive a stipend of €1,000; in your second year, €1,075; and in your third year, €1,150. In addition, each year you will receive an extra stipend equal to one month’s salary with your November paycheck.

Our goal is to offer our trainees a permanent position upon successful completion of their aprenticeship and good performance during the practical phases. To ensure this, we reassess each year how many trainees we will hire. However, there may be times when we do not have any open positions and are unable to offer you a permanent position.

We offer internships to both high school and college students, whether they are voluntary or required. You can also write your thesis with us.

As a high school intern, you’ll have the opportunity to complete your internship in our in-house IT department.

We offer student internships in various departments. Please let us know in your application which area you’re interested in.

That depends entirely on the type of internship and the field in which you'd like to do it. Anything is possible, from one day to several months.

As a general rule, you should apply for an internship as early as possible. This is because it takes a fair amount of effort to give you an insight into our company. As a result, the number of available spots is limited.
