This article lists the keyboard shortcuts that you can use to navigate through most of our products.

All keyboard shortcuts are listed here regardless of the product used. Some of the keyboard shortcuts may not be valid for the product you are using.

Keyboard shortcuts in the particular views

The keyboard shortcuts available in the particular views are listed here.

SecurityCenter

General

  • Alt + e: Open real-time protection. From here, you can use:

    • Alt + v: Disable real-time protection for the selected period, or enable it if it is disabled.

      • Alt + 5: Disable for 5 minutes.

      • Alt + 1: Disable for 10 minutes.

      • Alt + m: Disable for 15 minutes.

      • Alt + 3: Disable for 30 minutes.

      • Alt + h: Disable for 1 hour.

      • Alt + 2: Disable for 2 hours.

      • Alt + 4: Disable for 4 hours.

      • Alt + 8: Disable for 8 hours.

      • Alt + u: Disable until restart.

      • Alt + d: Disable permanently (you must confirm this separately by pressing Tab once and then Enter).

    • Alt + d then Space: Switch BEAST off for the selected period.

      • Alt + u: Until restart.

      • Alt + d: Disable permanently.

    • Alt + d then Alt + d then Space: Disable AntiRansomware.

    • Alt + d then Alt + d then Alt + d then Space: Disable Deepray.

    • Alt + e then Space: Enable BEAST, Deepray or AntiRansomware.

  • Alt + l: Open idle scan overview. From here, you can use:

    • Alt + r: Check computer now.

    • Alt + l: Start idle scan.

    • Alt + d: Deactivate idle scan.

  • Alt + f: Open the firewall menu. From here, you can:

    • Alt + a: Turn off Autopilot, or turn it back on if it is already off.

    • Alt + f: Turn off the firewall for the selected period.

      • Alt + 5: Turn off the firewall for 5 minutes.

      • Alt + 1: Turn off the firewall for 10 minutes.

      • Alt + m: Turn off the firewall for 15 minutes.

      • Alt + 3: Turn off the firewall for 30 minutes.

      • Alt + h: Turn off the firewall for 1 hour.

      • Alt + 2: Turn off the firewall for 2 hours.

      • Alt + 4: Disable firewall for 4 hours.

      • Alt + 8: Disable firewall for 8 hours.

      • Alt + u: Disable until the computer is restarted.

      • Alt + d: Disable permanently.

  • Alt + w: Open the web protection menu. From here, you can use:

    • Alt + w: Disable web protection or re-enable it if it is disabled.

    • Up arrow key then Space: Disable browser protection or re-enable it if it is disabled.

  • Alt + m then Alt + d: Disable email checking.

  • Alt + m the Space: Re-enable email checking if it was disabled.

  • Alt + s: Open spam protection.

    • Alt + s: Open spam log.

    • Alt + n: Open “Not spam” log.

    • Alt + p: Disable spam protection.

    • Alt + a: If spam protection has been disabled, enable it again.

Lizences

  • Alt + p: Opens the My G DATA website.

Virus signatures

  • Alt + u or Alt + d: Open virus update overview.

    • Alt + v: Update virus signatures.

    • Alt + a then Space: Disable automatic updates; if automatic updates are disabled, re-enable them.

Browser and App protection

  • Alt + g: Open BankGuard view.

    • Alt + g: Disable BankGuard or, if disabled, re-enable it.

  • Alt + r: Open Keylogger Protection view.

    • Alt + r: Disable Keylogger Protection or, if disabled, re-enable it.

  • Alt + x: Open Exploit Protection view.

    • Alt + d: Disable Exploit Protection or.

    • Alt + e: If disabled, enable Exploit Protection again.

Virus protection

Virus check

  • Alt + r: Start computer check immediately.

  • Alt + s: Check memory and autostart immediately.

  • Alt + h: Check removable media.

  • Alt + e: Check for root kits immediately.

Sonstiges

  • Alt + q: Open quarantine display.

  • Alt + b: Create boot medium.

Firewall

  • Alt + m then Alt + a: Turn off or turn on autopilot if it has been disabled.

  • Alt + n then Alt + n: Display available networks.

  • Alt + a then Alt + s: Display system messages.

  • Alt + r then Alt + a: Open application radar.

Backup

  • Not available.

PasswordManager

  • Not available.

Tuner

  • Alt + l then Alt + p: Run tuning, confirm with Enter.

    When starting for the first time, you may be asked whether defragmentation should be disabled due to the possible presence of SSD hard drives. Press Enter for “Yes,” Tab and then Enter for “No.”

  • Alt + a: Open the view for automatic tuning.

    • Alt + a: Activate or deactivate automatic tuning, if activated.

Parental controls

  • Alt + a then Alt + s: Activate parental controls.

  • Alt + a then Alt + o: Deactivate parental controls.

    • When activated, Alt + f then Alt + e: Edit restricted content.

      • Use the up arrow / down arrow keys to select entries, use the space bar to select or deselect them.

      • Alt + o: Confirm; Alt + c: Discard.

    • If enabled, Alt + e then Alt + e: Edited approved content.

      • Use the Up Arrow / Down Arrow keys to select entries, press the Spacebar to select or deselect them.

      • Alt + o: Confirm; Alt + c: Discard.

  • Alt + n: Create a new Windows user.

    • First enter the username, then enter the password twice, change fields with Tab. Create with Alt + c, discard with Alt + e.

Encryption

Autostart Manager

  • Not available.

Device control

  • Ctrl + o (Alt + e: if rule is selected): Open the settings page for device control.

    • Alt + e: Turn device control on or off.

      • Alt + d: Turn device control for media devices (e.g., USB sticks) on or off.

        • Alt + i: Edit rules.

      • Alt + c: Turn device control for CD/DVD players on or off.

        • Alt + t: Edit rules.

      • Alt + s: Turn device control for floppy disk drives on or off.

        • Alt + r: Edit rules.

      • Alt + b: Turn device control for webcams on or off.

        • Alt + u: Edit rules.

    • Alt + h: Enable or disable message when a device is blocked.

  • Alt + r: Refresh the list of rules.
