License

Under the license entry on the left-hand side of the programme interface, you can see how long your licence for virus updates is still valid. With no other software are constant updates as important as with antivirus software. Before your licence expires, the software automatically reminds you to renew your licence. The best way to do this is conveniently and easily via the Internet.

Credentials

If you click on Access data in the License area, a dialogue box appears in which you can view your Access data. You can find information on this in the Updates chapter. If you have any questions about your license, we can help you in the Service Center. If you have forgotten your password, you can also use this dialogue field to generate a new password quickly and easily.

Protect more PCs / Extend functionality

Of course, it is possible to extend the number of your licenses or upgrade to products with an extended range of functions at any time. If you click on the entry Manage license in My G DATA in the SecurityCenter, you will be taken directly to My G DATA. Clicking on the entry Your product will take you to our Upgrade Centre, where you can also order the extended range of functions of our other software versions.

What happens at expiration?

A few days before your license expires, an information window appears in the taskbar. If you click on it, a dialogue opens in which you can easily extend your licence in just a few steps.

This dialogue appears only after the first year has expired. After that, your license will be renewed automatically every year. You can cancel this renewal service at any time by giving 30 days' notice before the end of the term.
