Important information on the end of support for Windows 10 by Microsoft

Continuous usage an operating system that will no longer be supported (deadline of 14th October 2025), you are opening the door to cyberattackers and fraudsters!

There is the option to receive security updates from Microsoft for Windows 10 for another year. You can find more information about this here.

Windows 10 users who are not eligible to receive any further updates, patches or fixes after the said date in 2025 are vulnerable to attacks. In plain language, this means that cyber criminals are just waiting for a very large number of users to easily fall victim to them. As soon as an attacker publishes information about new vulnerabilities in Windows 10 or third-party software for Windows 10 after October 14 (which will undoubtedly happen), these vulnerabilities will remain and can still be exploited. It is therefore a zero-day vulnerability that will remain active forever!

We strongly recommend the use of a current Windows operating system with the latest security updates. As planned, we will continue to offer our products for Windows 10 in the foreseeable future. In this way, we want to ensure that users who are late in modernizing their operating system are not left completely without virus protection. For this reason, the familiar antivirus software will continue to work on these systems.

Nevertheless: The compatibility of the antivirus product does not mean that the computer is fully protected! In this case, protection is only half the story! System integrity and security are issues that involve many interacting factors, and Windows 10 and outdated software become weak links in the security chain. A single vulnerability is enough to put the entire system at risk. Antivirus products are designed to provide protection against malware and cyber threats, and of course we will continue to provide this protection on Windows 10. Much of the malware that attempts to exploit vulnerabilities after the Windows 10 support period expires will be detected, provided the antivirus product is kept up to date.

In any case, we would like to point out that even antivirus software cannot offer comprehensive protection if Windows 10 is no longer supported.
