What can I do if only "Uninstall" can be selected when running the client setup, even though G DATA Security Client is not installed?

In this case, utilizing the G DATA Product Cleaner on the effected system is necessary.

If the affected machine also hosts a G DATA Management Server, it must be reinstalled together with the G DATA Security Client, as in the above case, using the G DATA Product Cleaner could damage the installation.

The G DATA Management Server database should be backed up before running the G DATA Product Cleaner.

If G DATA Exchange Mail Security is also installed on the affected system, it also needs to be reinstalled.
